The Common Causes of Teeth Sensitivity.

Does eating frozen yogurt make you say “ouch” — or do you find yourself wincing when you brush or floss? You can have what’s known as the teeth sensitivity.

The tooth is one of the hardest bones in the body. It can withstand being used as a prying and chewing device. Teeth work together to chew or bite into food. Over time this can cause the enamel to disappear. The enamel is the surface coating of the tooth that helps to protect the Dentin. Dentin is the softer part inside the tooth that connects to the nerves.

When something triggers a pain reaction from being eaten or drank, chances are that the enamel on your teeth has been worn down and the Dentin is exposed.

Some people may experience sensitivity, even if there are no underlying issues with their teeth. They may not be able to handle the same exposure to hot and cold items like anyone who has less sensitive teeth. This high sensitivity most likely are not caused by the failing enamel or deficiency of brushing, but rather inherited after a while as they grew old.

Some reasons why your teeth may be sensitive can include:

Grinding Your Teeth. When somebody grinds their teeth or even clenches them together tightly more than once a day or through the night, the dentin gets exposed. Grinding and clenching after a while will remove the enamel form tooth. If not properly resolved, it can lead to other issues like the chipping or damaging of teeth when you eat.

Brushing Your Teeth Too hard. This can be done accidentally using a hard bristle toothbrush. Brushing your teeth using a hard bristled toothbrush are not able to only be tough within the enamel, but it will also be tough on you, creating an uncomfortable feeling each time you brush. Brushing your teeth using a soft bristle brush will be ideal, but be careful to not over brush or press down way too hard on your teeth.

Diminishing Gums. Receding gums can be the effect of a few different things. Brushing your teeth way too hard can be one of them. The other reason might be connected to dental conditions like periodontal disease. If your gum recedes, it allows the dentin inside tooth to become subjected, causing pain.

Dental Conditions. The most commonly talked about tooth conditions is Gingivitis. Cures occurs when the gums grow to be inflamed. Inflammation of the gum tissue can happen infrequently or each day. Many people who include this dental condition additionally experience higher volumes of sensitivity when brushing their teeth and eating or even drinking cold and very hot foods and beverages.
